Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.....

I am in the process of becoming a photographer for NILMDTS. They can always use more volunteers, and can always use more voices to tell about it.

NILMDTS

Taken from NILMDTS website:

"About Us

regnancy and birth are miraculous journeys. This amazing time of life is full of mystery, anticipation, joy, hope, and wonder. Feeling the powerful energy of birth and new life, watching as a new family is born unto each other. These things humble and amaze. These are the things that we celebrate when a baby is born.

But there is another aspect of pregnancy and birth. There is an unexpected place in this journey where some families may find themselves. When a baby dies, a world is turned upside down. There is confusion, sadness, fear, and uncertainty that cannot be explained. There is sorrow where there should have been joy. During this time, it might be impossible for families to know what they might need in order to heal in the future.

This is the place where the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation gently provides a helping hand and a healing heart. For families overcome by grief and pain, the idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives.

The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation (NILMDTS) administers a network of almost 7,000 volunteer photographers in the United States and twenty-five countries. At a family's request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to your hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive and private portrait session. The portraits are then professionally retouched and presented to the families on an archival DVD or CD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished baby.

Our entire network of affiliated photographers graciously donate their time and talents to our families and we are proud to be able to offer our services at no cost. Your Donations are greatly needed and greatly appreciated.

Please consider supporting the mission of NILMDTS.

Sunday Soundoff from an awesome week!

What an awesome crazy week!

Besides the normal schedule of baseball, spring skate and dance classes, it was also education week and an open house at school, and Avery's class enjoyed a Medieval Feast. We ignored the drizzle of rain and had an extremely fun senior session, a kind stranger even brought out his red convertible for the girls to pose in! I had a perfect afternoon Saturday, getting tons of snuggles from a set of twins. The session was so relax and the babies were gorgeous! I love getting my baby fix! :)

Thursday May 7 was National Mom's Nite Out
I had been reading about it on some blogs and think it is a fabulous idea!! Next year it is definitely something I will be looking to get a group together and celebrate!
I did spend Friday night, just a few of us mom's hangin' out in the hot tub, a few refreshments, we had to hide out inside because of a huge storm, but luckily it passed quickly and many, many, laughs were had. It was a great time and I can't wait for another.

Today is Mother's day, but more importantly it is Avery's birthday! She was actually born on Mother's day, quite a cool gift in 1998.

Many pics to share this week but today is all about Av.

Happy Birthday baby girl! xoxo

This is too cute and I had to include it! Back in the early skating
days. Left to right: Shelby, Madison, Amber, Brooklynn and Avery.

First year of ball.

Sort of a website, but more of a social tool....

Twitter!

click here to check it out

Twitter updates your facebook status but the BEST thing is when you add people to "follow", you have the option to turn "device notification on or off". By turning this option "on" you receive updates directly to your SMS/text message. Automatic updates from your friends right to your phone! love it!

Twitter has just started allowing Canadians to receive the text again. This is what makes twitter so sweet! Your heading out for coffee, just twitter it and see how many friends join you.

This was a very tough week. Even though the mourning ritual is finished, mourning is just beginning for many. I hope the good memories start to creep back. That someday you find peace. I am thinking of you and sending my strength everyday.

This weekend was a busy one! An awesome family photo shoot, and the girls birthday party yesterday!

Today we spent a much needed family day out and about! We headed over to Sarnia to hang out along the river, enjoy some bridge fries, check out the animals at Canatara park and run and play.

There were many, many photo's taken these last 2 days! I will be sharing some this week!

Cheers to sunny weekends!
